After 27 years of experience in investment management across several operations, including managing the award winning Acorn Unit Trust, owner and founder of Eau Rouge, Donald Glyn, became frustrated by the diversions inherent in large organisations which distracted attention from his mission to build wealth for his clients. The idea of a dedicated investment management operation, with handpicked staff whose interests were directly and substantially aligned with that of clients, working in an environment where creative and insightful thought processes would not be interrupted by bureaucracy or meaningless procedure, was born. Eau Rouge Investment Managers was founded in March 2009.

Within a disciplined investment process governed by investment philosophies to which all team members inherently subscribe, Eau Rouge seeks to foster a working environment conducive to creative, innovative thinking, enthusiasm and collaboration. Our flat organisational structure and constructive and rigorous debate of investment ideas allows the collective thinking of the team to be honed by the extensive experience in research and investment management available within the team.

Eau Rouge ensures that the research effort is best-of-breed by keeping its investment team dedicated to analysis, unfettered by other responsibilities, and through its strong and personal relationships with global investment houses. From a strong base of third party fundamental research we are able to focus our proprietary research on analysis and interpretation to gain insights that inspire original investment ideas, with the aim of differentiating our investment approach and consistently delivering superior risk-adjusted returns over the longer term.
